Ahhh...

What a nice week this has been!

Monday evening brought another of those date type outings with the nice young man that I had dinner with last week. And this time, when he kissed me, I remembered it the next day. A far cry from the first time I met him. As you may or may not know, I often throw myself at random cute (or not cute...sometimes a fabulous accent is enough) males when I've been drinking. But do you know how WEIRD it is to continue seeing that person afterwards? It's a first for me and it's awfully awkward...but he's very nice, so he might just be worth it.

Also, on Monday, and the true highlight of my day...Red decided to take me to Boston for my birthday! I am so flipping exciting for this. We'll be spending three nights, four days, in the city of accents so beautiful it makes me cry. I am optimistically imagining that all the boys in Boston strongly resemble CT from Real World Paris fame (if you can call it that), because with four or five drinks in me, they all will. On a related note, I'm limiting Red to four or five drinks a night while we're there. The thought of her sustaining serious beer-induced bodily harm in another state makes me feel a little panicky. This trip is going to be super damn duper though.

Last night, I made my first trip to Esko to (finally!) see Christina's apartment. She made me a delicious meal and then we did some hiking in/near Jay Cooke state park. Afterwards, we spent hours playing Monopoly, cards, and gossiping about Tower folk. It was a great evening. I sometimes can't believe I went three whole years without talking to her.

Because I didn't get home until 1 o'clock this morning and because my job, which allowed me to flex today off, kicks a whole bunch of ass, I slept until 10:30 this morning. I've been just lounging around, watching some movies, throwing caution to the wind by refusing to blow dry my hair and instead letting it dry gradually, into its natural afro state.
