Random! Get yer random right here!
First of all, Gooty is sick.

She's been lethargic and sad and won't eat. Anybody who knows that dog will tell you that she never passes up an opportunity to eat...and she's certainly not picky. Red thinks she's just put herself on a diet because we all call her chunky.
The poor thing had to visit the vet TWICE yesterday, so now she's not only sick, but traumatized as well. The doctor tossed around some pretty serious potential ailments, such as diabetes, kidney/liver troubles, and blasto. Blasto just recently caused my uncle's six-year-old chocolate lab to go completely blind. But that's a whole other story that makes me cry.
It seems that none of the problems listed above are afflicting Lucy. She hopefully just has an infection, something that can be cured by the magic pills the vet sent home with her. Now if Mom and Dad can just get her to eat them, we're in business.
Pray for her, if you're into that.
Last night I got all spiffed up and went to dinner and Sleeping Beauty with Christina. I was really impressed with it, and enjoyed it much more than I did the Nutcracker. Well, I should say I would have enjoyed it more, had it not been for the obnoxious ballet goers around me. There was a group of preteen girls that talked the entire time. Not quiet talk. Not even inside voices. No, they had to talk over the music. Then there was the group behind us with the small child, who they allowed to migrate from row to row, climbing over the seats and jumping up and down on them throughout the performance. These were the same people who thought it was funny to burst into applause, accompanied by the type of hooting and hollering you'd hear at a hockey game, at the most random moments.
As annoying as they all were, Christina's reaction almost made their presence worthwhile. She was PISSED. Seriously. I thought she was going to knock some heads on the way out.
Dad's going to be here soon. He had a last-minute decision to go to the cities this weekend. I mentioned it to him on Wednesday and he just sort of blew it off. He changed his mind though, so we're headed to Red this morning. I'm so excited. Two weekends in a row with Red! I miss, miss, miss her. We're staying at the Crowne Plaza in the Bloomington again. Here's hoping we won't see Tequila Bobby.
When the hell am I going to get my tire fixed?
